“CHÈ” – our lovely sweet dessert in Summer

I believe that you cannot find that kind of sweet dessert anywhere in the UK, except the Vietnamese, Chinese or Thai restaurants. I mean this sweet dessert is an iconic dish of Asia.

There are too many kinds of Che that I couldn’t remember all of them. However, in this post, I will list the most popular Che in Vietnam that you can easily find in many cities.

#1 Chè Bưởi – Pomelo Sweet Soup Dessert

Honestly, this is my favourite Che so that I put it at the top of the list ^^. You can see in the picture that it has two main colours which are yellow and white.

  • Yellow stands for mung bean and the cover of pomelo
  • White stands for Coconut milk

They are also the main ingredients of this dessert. It looks simple with only two colours, two main ingredients, but it can shake your world when you try it. Believe me!

You can easily find it at any dessert street vendor or in the restaurants as well. This sweet dessert is served with blended ice, and it is amazing in the Summer. I used to eat it every day in the Summer when I was in Vietnam :)))

Anyway, I highly recommend it. It is not just only a sweet dessert, but also a tradition of Vietnam when Summer comes. You can hang out with friends and have a glass of Che Buoi, that’s the preferable evening after a long day at work or school.

#2 Chè Thập Cẩm – Mixed Sweet Soup Dessert

It is difficult to describe but you can understand that you can choose whatever you want to put in the glass to make your own glass of sweet soup dessert. It can have many layers or only two-three layers, it depends on you and your taste.

But this dessert is for whom not sure what they like and want to try different things in the same glass. It is a smart choice in my opinion. You can see the picture below, there are various of ingredients with many colours that you can choose.

These two are the popular sweet soup dessert or can be known as puddings in Vietnam. The price for each glass is only 50 – 80 pence. They are totally worth for Summer as they are cheap, delicious and easy to find and taste. If you have a chance to stop by any Vietnamese restaurants or be in Vietnam, especially in the Summer, I highly recommend that you should try both of them and the others :))). They could make your summer more interesting <3
